Klaus,
the JamPacks are working well on MacOS X 10.7 or later, only some of the installers are problematic. The World Music installer makes calls to old PowerPC code, and the new MacOS X versions have no longer the Rosetta environment, that could simulate a Power PC. That is why you get the 'Bad CPU Type' error message.
GarageBand and Jam Pack 3 require Mac OS X v10.2.6 or later, QuickTime 6.4 or later, a Macintosh computer with PowerPC 600 MHz or faster G3, G4, or G5 processor, 256MB or more physical RAM and a 1024x768 or larger display; G4 or G5 processor is required for GarageBand software instruments. Apple Garageband Jam Pack
See the GarageBand FAQ at the Bullets&Bones site for a solution:
If you have the JamPacks still installed on your previous Mac or have a backup, you could simply copy the library files over: Copy these folders:
/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/Jam Pack World Music/
and all missing files from
/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/
After transferring the loops and instruments, reindex the Loops.
